Review : R.I.O. - Shine On & Sunshine Album

It is not the movie or the city in Brazil but a project or a collaboration of 2 great dj's, Yann "Yanou" Peifer and Manuel "Manian" Reuter, naming it as R.I.O.. When I heard the song "Like I Love you", on my mind I was thinking that it's a great song but when I heard "Lay Down" then it cross on my mind that this R.I.O. was really good. So, without wasting any time, with my friend Google.com, I was able to gather some facts regarding R.I.O. and I was able to grab the 2 albums, Shine On and Sunshine. It's been 3 days now that I am listening on the 2 albums - morning, afternoon and night time. The songs are really cool, a twist of reggae for the lyrics while the beat and the rhythm are club or up tempo. So if you love reggae with a different beat, you must have R.I.O. on your collection of music or songs. Two thumbs up or a score of 10 for this!

By the way, "Lay Down" was on my FreshMix, it's the second track/song.

Fact :  First, they launched Cascada. America's kids sang "Everytime We Touch", and everybody in the international club scene soon knew those names - Yann "Yanou" Peifer and Manuel "Manian" Reuter. With the UK waiting for the third subsequent Top 5 album, the Cascada success story still goes on. One day in 2007, Manian & Yanou played around with the famous "Samba De Janeiro" sample, and the next day Zooland Records signed the new project "R.I.O." and their first single "De Janeiro" which became a massive club hit everywhere. Summer of 2008, the whole club world celebrated "Shine On" and "When The Sun Comes Down", having "R.I.O." top almost every dance chart on this planet - Yanou & Manian had done it again! Summer's gone, but the song's still in high demand all over the world. Now, it looks as though "R.I.O." has become more than just a project, with an enormous fans base on the internet asking for R.I.O. news. Small wonder that the amazingly talented vocalist Tony T - who you all know from the great "Shine On" video - has hardly had a free minute ever since, performing live in clubs all over Europe, and it looks like that won't change any time soon! After The Love - May 2009, after "Shine On" and "When The Sun Comes Down" have become huge radio and club anthems all over the world, nearly everybody knows about R.I.O. and what they stand for. Small wonder that their new single "After The Love", which takes its rhythmical structure out of the "Pachanga", was desperately awaited by DJ's and fans. Tony T, the charismatic singer, once again lends his voice for this highly summer flavored tune and continues his live tour around the globe. Smashin' remixes as well as a stunning video complete the package. No doubt: R.I.O. did it again.
